Five students from Year 5 to Year 12 presented contemporary or classical monologues as part of the annual FOBISIA Monologue Challenge hosted online by British International School, Ho Chi Minh City. The competition was tough as it was open to all FOBISIA schools in Asia.

Despite the tough competition, BISP Y12  student Chloe wowed the judges with her performance of Lady Macbeth from Shakespeare’s play Macbeth. She was awarded a Highly Commended award in the 15+ Classic Category. All BISP students from Years 6 to 13 were invited to join the Challenge and were tasked with learning either a contemporary or a classic monologue and then uploading it to Google Classroom.

The judges, a renowned theatre company from New Zealand, Red Leap Theatre, offered the following assessment of Chole’s performance:

“Great clear resonance and tone. Wonderful commitment to the epic tone of the piece.” – Examiners Assessment Notes

Congratulations to Chloe for her outstanding performance!
