BISP Tennis Academy is proud to share the continued international success of three players competing on the ITF Junior Circuit: Puthi (Year 13), Pine (Year 11), and Robert (Year 11) from the High Performance squad. Through dedication, disciplined training, and extensive international competition, all three athletes are achieving impressive results and steadily improving their rankings on the global stage.
Their performances reflect both individual commitment and the strength of the BISP High Performance tennis programme, where student-athletes are supported in balancing elite sport with their academic studies while competing at a high level internationally.
Puthi – Year 13
In January, Puthi competed at the AGL Loy Yang Traralgon Junior International in Australia, reaching the main draw in both singles and doubles. He then made his debut at a Junior Grand Slam event, the Australian Open Junior Championships in Melbourne, again competing in the main draw for both singles and doubles.
This marked Puthi’s first appearance at a Junior Grand Slam, a significant milestone in any junior player’s career.
His current standing in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Junior Rankings (Under 18) is: World No. 41
Breaking into the Top 50 represents one of the highest competitive tiers in international junior tennis. Notably, this is the highest ranking achieved by a Thai junior player since 2008. In addition, Puthi currently holds the highest ITF Junior points total ever recorded by a Thai junior in the history of the ITF Junior Circuit.
He is also No. 1 in Thailand (Under 18) – according to the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand (LTAT) rankings (January 2026).
Pine – Year 11
Pine also competed strongly in New Zealand this January. At the J100 Taurangahe he achieved Singles: Main draw, second round and Doubles: Semifinals
At the J100 Auckland he achieved Singles: Main draw, second round and Doubles: Quarterfinals
Pine’s current ITF World Junior Ranking (Under 18) is World No. 319. Achieving a Top-320 world ranking at just 15 years old reflects strong long-term potential and steady development on the international stage.
In Thailand (LTAT Rankings, January 2026), Pine is:
- No. 1 in Thailand (Under 16)
- No. 2 in Thailand (Under 18)
Robert – Year 11
Robert joined the BISP High Performance squad in early 2025 after overcoming a significant setback in his career. In 2023, Robert underwent back surgery that kept him away from the tennis court for nearly a year. Through determination, disciplined rehabilitation, and consistent hard work, he successfully returned to competition and quickly re-established himself on the ITF Junior Circuit.
Since his comeback, Robert has been competing regularly in international tournaments, travelling extensively to gain valuable match experience and improve his ranking. His efforts have already produced excellent results, including tournament victories at ITF J30 Vietnam and ITF J30 Singapore events. He currently holds an ITF Junior ranking of 589.
Beyond his results, Robert is widely respected within the squad for his professionalism, strong work ethic, and excellent sportsmanship. He is a positive influence within the team environment and demonstrates natural leadership qualities both on and off the court. Robert continues to develop as a competitive player with the mindset and character required to progress further on the international junior circuit.
After their successful stint on the international stage, our students returned to Phuket and resumed classes immediately, demonstrating once again their commitment to balancing elite sport with academic responsibilities.
We congratulate Puthi, Pine, and Robert on their achievements. Their discipline, resilience, and performances at the international level reflect not only their talent but also the strong culture of commitment and professionalism within the BISP Tennis Academy.
We look forward to following their continued progress on the global stage.
