Every year, as part of British International School, Phuket’s Wellbeing Programme, Year 6 students are invited to put themselves forward for the role of Wellbeing Leader and we are delighted to introduce our eight new leaders for the year.

Thank you to Milly and Tristan (Yellow Team); Valentina and Pratik (Green Team); Zach and Ilya (Red Team) and Shula and Jack (Blue Team) for your leadership this year, and for ensuring all students in the Primary School feel respected and happy.

I am really looking forward to working with this year’s Wellbeing Leaders. These eight leaders will be looked up to and act as role models throughout the year and I wish them all the best.

Primary Wellbeing Coordinator, Sam Davy

In addition to providing support to their peers and ensuring students are given opportunities to make the most of their playtimes on our wonderful campus, the Wellbeing Leaders will be responsible for promoting house spirit by creating, organising and running House Team Competitions.

More than 20 students put themselves forward for the Wellbeing roles and candidates were asked to write a speech, which they delivered to their year group.

Primary Wellbeing Coordinator, Sam Davy, said: “The content and delivery of these speeches was amazing. It is clear we have several students in Y6 who promise to become very influential, convincing leaders in the future. I’d like to thank the Year 6 teachers for helping students write their persuasive speeches and teaching them how to deliver them in public.

“I am really looking forward to working with this year’s Wellbeing Leaders. These eight leaders will be looked up to and act as role models throughout the year and I wish them all the best,” concluded Mr Davy.
