Mathis has been part of the BISP community since Year 1, spending 13 years growing, learning and thriving in an environment that encouraged connection and curiosity. He will go on to study International Hospitality Management at EHL Hospitality Business School, one of the world’s leading institutions in the field. This choice reflects both his personal background and his passion for people and service.

His Senior School experience played a pivotal role in shaping his ambitions. Studying Business Management and growing up in a hospitality-focused family helped confirm his direction, while the support and encouragement of teachers like Mr Schuster inspired him to pursue his goals with confidence. Mathis says that his love of interacting with others made hospitality a natural fit.

As Blue Sharks Colour Team Captain, Mathis led with energy and purpose. The role allowed him to inspire his peers, build school spirit and nurture collaboration – all qualities that are essential in the world of hospitality. It also helped him strengthen his communication and leadership skills, reinforcing his passion for teamwork and competition.

A high-performance athlete, Mathis understands the importance of resilience, discipline and commitment. With a strong foundation built at BISP, he is ready to take his next step into the global hospitality industry, where his ability to connect with others and lead by example will continue to shine.
