The 2024–25 academic year has been a landmark season for the BISP Flying Trapeze & Aerial Performance Academy. With new milestones, dazzling performances and inspiring events, this has been a year of extraordinary growth for students, coaches and the wider aerial community at BISP.
A celebration of movement and magic
One of the most memorable moments of the year was the Christmas Show, where students of all ages and levels performed side by side in a joyful display of skill, teamwork and festive spirit. Set to classic carols, this inclusive performance brought the entire academy together, filling the BISP campus with energy and celebration.
Showcasing talent in the wider community
The academy proudly performed at some of the school’s most exciting community events, including Soccer 7s and the Christmas Fair. Performing live for large, enthusiastic audiences gave students a unique chance to showcase their confidence, creativity and courage in front of families, visitors and fellow students from across Phuket and beyond.
Raising the bar at the Junior Aerial Championships
In April, BISP hosted the 2025 Mid-Air Circus Arts Junior Aerial Championships, welcoming 75 talented young athletes from across Thailand and Singapore. The event highlighted exceptional skill and sportsmanship, and BISP students rose to the challenge with impressive performances. The championship served as a powerful reminder of how the academy nurtures not only performers, but also confident and resilient young individuals.
Returning to the stage for the Summer Show
The season concluded with the 2025 Summer Show: Around the World, a vibrant and imaginative production led by BISP’s primary aerialists. Held in the BISP auditorium for the first time in several years, the show was a joyful celebration of culture, creativity and movement, and a proud milestone for the programme’s development.
As the BISP Flying Trapeze & Aerial Performance Academy looks to the future, plans are already in motion to expand the coaching team and welcome even more students into the world of aerial arts. With momentum, passion and a growing community of supporters, the year ahead promises to be even more exciting.
