At BISP, enrichment is more than an addition to learning. It is central to our mission to inspire learning, nurture wellbeing and ignite passion. This year, the Ignite Enrichment Programme flourished across all sections of the school, offering transformative experiences that pushed students beyond the classroom and into new realms of curiosity, challenge and growth.

Expanding opportunities, nurturing passions
This year’s activities programme grew in both scope and variety, offering students of all ages meaningful opportunities to discover their interests and express themselves. From coding and robotics to yoga, parkour, cooking, graphic design and more, every activity reflected BISP’s belief that learning is fuelled by passion. Highlights included sending our first Year 5 and 6 team in over a decade to the FOBISIA Friendly Games, as well as strong participation in competitions such as Kangaroo Maths, Singapore Maths and FOBISIA Maths. Whether through robotics showcases, ski trips or art excursions, enrichment at BISP continued to support the development of confident and independent learners.

Primary residentials – learning through adventure
BISP’s Primary residential trips offered some of the year’s most memorable learning moments.
Year 3 enjoyed their first overnight experience in Mai Khao, exploring the environment and learning to stand-up paddle board.
Year 4 visited a planetarium, tried football, golf and snorkelled in Phang Nga Bay.
Year 5 returned to the peaceful landscapes of Khao Sok, where kayaking and jungle trekking promoted teamwork and resilience.
Year 6 travelled to Khao Lak for a trip that included mangrove kayaking, surf lessons, beach clean-ups and a visit to an elephant conservation centre.

Each journey fostered independence, environmental awareness and a deepened sense of community.

Secondary Residential Week – learning with purpose
From 25 to 29 November, Secondary students stepped beyond the classroom to take part in Residential Trips Week.
Students in Years 7 to 9 explored Thailand’s landscapes through team-building, environmental study and historical exploration, including a visit to Hellfire Pass.
Year 10 students undertook their International Award expeditions in Krabi, Koh Lanta and Chiang Mai, tackling challenges such as a 29 kilometre kayak, forest hikes and white-water rafting.
Year 12 students engaged in CAS residentials shaped around community, service and sustainability, with projects ranging from elephant conservation in Kanchanaburi to mindfulness and environmental reflection in Krabi, and educational outreach in Kapong.

These experiences gave students the chance to lead, reflect and connect with the world around them.

This year’s enrichment programme has empowered students to think deeply, act courageously and engage meaningfully. Whether exploring creative projects, tackling physical challenges or contributing to service initiatives, students have shown a willingness to grow and lead. BISP thanks every student, staff member and family for embracing the value of learning beyond the classroom. With renewed energy and inspiration, we look forward to another year of curiosity, connection and discovery.
