At British International School, Phuket students are introduced to a wide variety of music from different countries, cultures and genres.

Here are some videos of our Year 5 and 6 students performing the Samoan Sasa. Sasa, which literally means ‘to strike’, is performed sitting down and involves synchronization, energy and lots of enthusiasm! It was once a village activity but is now one of Samoa’s most well-known dances.

Our students in Years 1 to 6 have loved learning Sasa! Look at their fantastic rhythm!
