The BISP community came together in vibrant fashion for International Day 2026, a much-loved annual celebration that highlights the extraordinary diversity of cultures represented within our school. Students, staff, and families embraced the occasion by wearing national dress, sharing traditional foods, and performing on stage, creating a morning filled with colour, music, and cultural pride.
The celebrations began with students gathering with their classes before making their way to the front of the MTB building, where the community assembled for the Parade of Nations. One of the most memorable moments of the day, the parade saw students proudly representing countries from around the world as they processed through campus in traditional attire. The display of flags, costumes, and cultural symbols created a powerful visual reminder of the global nature of the BISP community.
Following the parade, the event was officially opened with welcoming remarks from Head of School, Simon Meredith, who reflected on the importance of celebrating the many cultures that make up the BISP family. The morning then moved into the heart of the festivities as cultural stage performances and international food stalls brought the celebration to life.
Throughout the morning, the stage showcased a range of performances that celebrated cultural traditions from across the globe. Students and families shared music, dance, and performances that reflected their heritage, demonstrating both the talent within our community and the pride students take in their cultural identities.
At the same time, families hosted a wonderful selection of international food stalls, offering students the opportunity to sample small tastes from different cuisines. From Asian favourites to European classics and dishes from Canada and the Americas, the stalls allowed students to experience global cultures through food while learning about the traditions behind each dish. The Canada booth was once again generously supported by Tim Hortons Thailand, who kindly donated a large selection of treats for the BISP community—an appreciated contribution that has become a valued part of our International Day celebrations.
International Day is always a highlight of the BISP calendar because it captures the spirit of what it means to be an international school. Our students grow up learning alongside peers from many backgrounds, and events like this provide a joyful opportunity to celebrate those differences while strengthening the sense of community that connects us all.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the many parents, students, and staff who contributed their time and energy to making this year’s event such a success—particularly those who organised food stalls and cultural performances. Your enthusiasm and generosity helped create a memorable experience for everyone involved.
International Day 2026 was a wonderful reminder that at BISP, our diversity is not only something we celebrate, it is one of our greatest strengths.
