The BISP University Fair 2026 brought the world of higher education to campus on Monday, 21 September, with representatives from 120 universities across 22 countries joining students and staff from seven schools across Phuket.

For students, the scale of the event meant an opportunity to explore a wide range of destinations, courses and pathways in one place. Throughout the day, they could speak directly with university representatives, ask questions about programmes and admissions, and discover options they may not previously have considered.

Bringing Universities and Students Together

The connections began before the doors to the fair opened. On Sunday, BISP welcomed visiting university representatives to a reception at the Phuket Elephant Nature Reserve, creating an opportunity to connect ahead of Monday’s event.

That opportunity for direct conversation continued throughout Monday, with students moving between university stands, meeting admissions representatives and learning more about studying in different countries around the world.

Before welcoming the university representatives to our fair on Monday, we hosted a reception for them on Sunday at the Phuket Elephant Nature Reserve. What made the experience so enriching was the opportunity to bring genuine human connection into the university application process.

Students can find almost anything online, but meeting face-to-face with admissions experts from universities around the world is incredibly valuable. These personal interactions give our students greater purpose and confidence while helping them build meaningful connections as they prepare to apply globally.

More Than 20 Workshops

The main fair was complemented by a programme of more than 20 workshops, giving students the opportunity to explore particular subjects and aspects of the university journey in greater depth.

Sessions covered Business, Engineering and Technology, Medicine and healthcare pathways, Hospitality, Arts and Portfolio, Athletics, experiential learning, university applications, financial aid and finding the right university fit.

Together, the fair and workshops offered something for students at different stages of the process, from those beginning to explore where and what they might study to those already thinking about applications and specific university pathways.

Welcoming Schools from Across Phuket

The BISP University Fair was also an opportunity to share access to visiting universities with the wider Phuket education community. Alongside BISP students, the event welcomed students and staff from HeadStart International School Phuket, UWC Thailand, Kajonkiet International School, QSI International School of Phuket, Berda Claude International School and Satree Phuket School.

Feedback from the visiting universities was particularly positive, with many representatives commenting on the enthusiasm, curiosity and warmth shown by the students they met during the day.

Bringing 120 universities from 22 countries together on campus requires considerable planning and coordination. BISP extends its thanks to Ms Pothong, Mr Smith and Mr Chelin for their organisation and commitment, as well as to the visiting universities, schools, staff and students who helped make this year’s fair such a valuable opportunity for young people across Phuket.
