Two talented BISP students, Hiisan and Kathryn, recently took to the stage at the TEDxYouth@UWCThailand conference, delivering powerful and thought-provoking talks under this year’s theme: “Together We Change.” The event brought together young voices from across the region to explore how individual ideas and collective action can shape a better future.

Hiisan captivated the audience with her insightful and engaging talk, “How to Tame Your Inner Monkey.” Blending evolutionary science with humour, she offered a unique perspective on how understanding our primal instincts can support personal growth and contribute to positive social change.

Kathryn delivered a compelling and well-researched presentation titled “Fear vs Facts: Changing the Narrative on Migrants and Refugees.” Her talk explored the political and economic contributions of migrants, challenging widespread misconceptions and encouraging a more informed and empathetic dialogue.

Both students spoke with confidence, clarity and purpose, embodying the spirit of TEDx and the values of curiosity, critical thinking and global citizenship that we strive to nurture at BISP.

We are incredibly proud of Hiisan and Kathryn for representing their school and community with such poise and conviction. Their commitment to exploring complex issues and sharing ideas worth spreading is truly inspiring.
