BISP is proud to deliver all three levels of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Programme.  Utilising its island location the Silver Award students in Year 11 dinghy sail for 3 days around Koh Lon where they show off their sailing skills, camp and do a beach cleanup.  Students pursuing the Gold Award undertake a practice and qualifying expedition in one stretch of early March.  

This year,  4 students took on the programme and sailed around Phang Nga Bay and the surrounding islands on a catamaran while also doing the International Yacht Training Competent Crew Course.  This is an amazing opportunity for students to get 2 qualifications from this trip.  The Qualifying trip for the Bronze Year 10s will be in June giving students the option of hiking and camping in Singapore and Kayaking in Krabi.
