The inaugural Primary Student Council at BISP has created a video introducing its members and encouraging students across the Primary School to share their ideas, feedback and suggestions.
Representatives from Year 1 to Year 6 came together to explain the role of the Student Council and how they work alongside teachers to help make the school a positive, inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.
Throughout the video, council members spoke about the importance of listening to others, helping classmates feel included and creating meaningful improvements within the school community.
Students can share their ideas directly with Student Council members, use the suggestion box located outside the library, or contribute through the Student Council Padlet available to Year 5 and Year 6 students.
The video also celebrates some of the council’s achievements so far, including their involvement in the Christmas Cheer campaign, which collected more than 300 Christmas boxes for children in need through local charities during the festive season.
The Primary Student Council is already looking ahead to future initiatives, including ideas connected to playground development and further improving the student experience across the school.
Opportunities such as the Student Council play an important role in helping students develop confidence, leadership, communication and a sense of responsibility from an early age, while reinforcing the values of kindness, inclusion and community engagement at BISP.
Most importantly, the message shared by the council was clear: every student’s voice matters.
