BISP Cruzeiro Academy recently welcomed Phakin Khamwilaisak, better known as Tono, for a week-long visit to learn more about the academy’s approach to player development and youth football education.

Tono is one of Thailand’s most recognised public figures, first gaining national attention through the sixth season of The Star in 2010. Alongside his successful career as a singer and actor, he has also pursued football at a professional level, joining Thai League 1 side Ratchaburi Mitr Phol FC in 2021 before continuing his football journey with several clubs in the Thai league system.

During his time at BISP Cruzeiro Academy, Tono has been observing training sessions, speaking with coaches and players, and gaining a deeper understanding of the Cruzeiro methodology and player development pathway.

According to Football Director Eder, Tono’s visit reflects a genuine interest in supporting the growth of youth football in Thailand. As an influential public figure, he is keen to contribute to the development of Thai players across the country and believes that learning from the academy’s methodology can help shape the future of Thai football.

The visit provides a valuable opportunity for academy players to interact with someone who has successfully combined careers in sport and entertainment while remaining passionate about football development.

BISP Cruzeiro Academy continues to welcome opportunities to connect with individuals who share its commitment to developing young athletes and supporting the future of football in Thailand.
