Three Year 12 students from BISP recently embarked on a heartfelt CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) project that left a lasting impact on Mon School in the Manik district. Zara, Laura and Taisiia organised a thoughtful initiative aimed at supporting the needs of the Mon School community.

The project, which culminated in a visit to Mon School, involved the presentation of essential items such as sporting equipment, stationery, cleaning products, and even a healthy snack. What made this endeavour particularly remarkable was the students’ proactive approach to fundraising. They diligently crafted and sold bracelets to raise approximately 15,000 baht, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to making a positive difference.

Upon arriving at Mon School, the CAS students engaged with the teachers to understand the specific requirements of the school. This collaborative effort led to the creation of a comprehensive list of items needed to enhance the learning and hygiene standards at Mon School. With careful budgeting and thoughtful consideration, the students not only purchased the necessary supplies but also ensured there was ample funding to provide a nutritious snack for the children during their visit.

During the presentation at Mon School, the students delivered a brief speech outlining their project and its objectives. They then proceeded to hand over the donated items, which included school essentials and recreational equipment like badminton nets. The students took an active role in fostering a sense of unity by engaging in a friendly game of badminton with the Mon School students and sharing a healthy snack, creating moments of joy and connection.

The CAS project exemplified the spirit of service and empathy that BISP encourages among its students. Through their dedicated efforts, Zara, Laura and Taisiia not only addressed tangible needs but also fostered meaningful interactions and experiences that resonate far beyond the confines of a school project. Their initiative serves as a shining example of how young individuals can make a tangible and positive impact on communities through compassion, dedication, and collaborative action.

Thank you to all who supported their initiative and a heartfelt thanks to Zara, Laura and Taisiia who serve as an inspiration for us all. We hope their work will continue to inspire young people to come together and create positive change in the world.
