The BISP U17 basketball team recently travelled to Pattaya to compete in the MIS March Madness Tournament, taking on a strong field of 11 teams from across the region.

Across the weekend, the team delivered a consistent and competitive performance, finishing in fifth place with a 4–2 record. Both losses came down to the final moments, with narrow two-point margins highlighting just how close the team was to pushing even further up the standings.

The tournament opened with a confident 54–27 win over MISY, setting the tone early with a dominant 27-point margin. A closely contested game against Hua Hin followed, where the team showed composure under pressure to secure a 28–23 victory.

Two challenging fixtures came next, with BISP falling just short against Ayeyarwaddy in a 46–48 loss decided in the final seconds. A similarly tight contest against Regents also ended in a two-point defeat, reflecting the highly competitive nature of the tournament.

The team responded well, bouncing back with a strong win over Burapa by 16 points, before closing the weekend in style with a commanding 30-point victory against MIS.

Throughout the tournament, the squad demonstrated resilience, teamwork, and the ability to compete at a high level. Narrow margins separated several of the teams, and BISP’s performance across all six games showed both consistency and potential for future competitions.

Well done to all players and coaches for their efforts and representation of the school.
