The Robotics Lab in the Innovation Hub was alive with creativity and teamwork during BISP’s Robotics Day, as students from Year 6 to Year 12 came together to design, build and test their robots ahead of the International VEX IQ and VEX VRC Competitions taking place in Bangkok this January.
Under the guidance of Mr Clark, Mr Shaw and Mr Lucas, with support from Mr King, our Innovation Intern, students worked with energy, curiosity and determination. They refined every detail of their designs, tested code, recorded their progress in their engineering notebooks, and made improvements to maximise performance on the field.
Younger students in the VEX IQ division explored the importance of structure, balance and precision, collaborating to fine-tune their robots for greater consistency. Meanwhile, older students in the VEX VRC division focused on advanced programming, drive control, and strategic redesigns to tackle the more complex game challenges.
The atmosphere in the Innovation Hub was buzzing with innovation and excitement as teams shared ideas, problem-solved and celebrated their breakthroughs. The day reflected the strength of the BISP Robotics community, where students of all ages are encouraged to think creatively, embrace challenges and showcase their ingenuity through hands-on learning.
We wish our teams every success as they prepare to represent BISP in Bangkok at the International VEX Robotics Competitions this January.
