BISP is proud to share that Year 13 student and Student Head of Academics, Fennie Hong, has been awarded the Bronze Medal in the Harvard International Review Academic Writing Contest Summer 2025.

This achievement places Fennie in the global top twenty percent of participants worldwide. As a Bronze Medal recipient, she receives an official HIR certificate and has her name listed on the Harvard International Review website as a recognised medal winner.

Last year, Fennie was selected to take part in the contest’s highly competitive Defense Day, where shortlisted students present and discuss their research in a fifteen-minute academic defence with a senior staff writer from the Harvard International Review. Her Bronze Medal reflects both the quality of her written submission and her performance during this advanced stage of the competition.

The Harvard International Review Academic Writing Contest evaluates students’ research, critical thinking and writing through a rigorous marking process. Only those achieving the highest scores progress to medal awards, which recognise excellence at an international level.

Fennie’s success highlights her academic dedication, intellectual curiosity and leadership within the BISP community. We congratulate her on this outstanding achievement and are proud to see her work recognised on a global academic platform.

The official list of medal winners can be viewed on the Harvard International Review website.
