In this interview, Mila, a Year 13 student at BISP, reflects on her journey since joining the school in Year 5. With a background that spans Mexico, Croatia, China and Thailand, Mila brings a truly global perspective to her time at BISP.
A passionate creative, Mila has been deeply involved in Visual Arts throughout her time at BISP, pursuing the subject in both IGCSE and IB. She found a supportive environment to explore and develop her creativity, culminating in a final exhibition at the Innovation Centre and an offer from the University of the Arts London. Alongside her artistic journey, Mila also took part in the Aerial Arts Academy from Year 7, performing in annual shows that allowed her to express herself physically and build close friendships. Although she paused aerial during the IB to focus on academics, it remains an important part of her BISP experience.
In the video, Mila speaks candidly about the challenges of time management, the importance of balance, and the role her family, especially her mum and twin sister, have played as role models. She also shares what life is like living in Phuket and offers advice to prospective students about making the most of the opportunities at BISP.
This interview captures Mila’s story, her growth as a student and artist, and the strong sense of community she has found at BISP.
