From December 12–14, 2025, students from British International School, Phuket (BISP) proudly represented their school through Mid-Air Circus Arts (MACA) Aerial Academy at Airstars 2025, an international aerial arts competition held in Bangkok, Thailand. The event brought together young aerialists from across Asia, offering students the opportunity to perform in a professional and international environment.

This year, MACA Aerial Academy sent 10 student participants, who demonstrated dedication, discipline, and artistic excellence throughout the three-day competition.

Student Participation & Achievements Across Competition Categories

Students from BISP competed across the following categories:

  • Hammock Kids Amateur
  • Hammock Youth Amateur
  • Hammock Youth Professional
  • Silks Youth
  • Open Youth

Each performance reflected months of focused training and preparation. Students showcased strong technical ability, creativity, and confidence while performing under international competition standards.

The competition also saw several standout results, highlighting the high level of training and commitment within the academy:

  • Hammock Kids Amateur – Kiana Lambert (Year 4) — 1st Place

In addition, non-BISP student Virág Magyari achieved 3rd Place in Silks Youth Amateur, representing MACA Aerial Academy.

These results demonstrate the hard work, resilience, and determination of the athletes, both in training and on the international stage.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Participation in Airstars 2025 supported students’ development beyond physical training. Through this experience, students strengthened essential life skills, including:

  • Confidence and composure under pressure
  • Discipline and time management
  • Teamwork and peer support
  • Resilience in a competitive setting

These outcomes align closely with BISP’s emphasis on holistic education and the development of well-rounded learners.

Throughout the event, students conducted themselves with professionalism, sportsmanship, and respect. They supported one another during performances and engaged positively with participants from other academies, reflecting the values of BISP both on and off the competition floor.

The international exposure and cultural exchange further enriched the experience, leaving students motivated and inspired as they return to their academic and extracurricular pursuits.

A Proud Achievement

MACA Aerial Academy is extremely proud of all participating students and their achievements at Airstars 2025. The success of BISP students at this international event highlights the positive impact of strong extracurricular partnerships and dedicated student commitment. Together, BISP and MACA look forward to providing more opportunities for student growth, achievement, and international representation in the future.
