The BISP Aerial Arts team returned from the 2026 Azul Fest Malaysia with an impressive five gold medals, three silver medals and a special award, following a successful day of performances on 11 October.
This marked the team’s first appearance at the competition in Malaysia, with their largest group to date: eight BISP students, including four taking part in an external aerial competition for the first time.
Preparations began during the summer holidays, with students dedicating time to developing their aerial techniques, strength and performance skills. Working closely with their coaches, they created and refined individual routines, building the confidence needed to perform independently on stage.
The competition was a long and demanding day, running from 10.00 am until 11.00 pm. Throughout the event, students demonstrated determination, courage and commitment, supporting one another while putting their training into practice.
A particularly memorable moment came when Kiana (Year 5) was selected to perform in the Gala Show alongside judges and other selected performers. She was also presented with the Little Luminary Award.
