At BISP, our parent community plays a vital role in enriching school life, and our recent PTA Cooking Workshops are a wonderful example of this in action. With two successful sessions held in October 2025 and February 2026, these events have not only filled the Primary Kitchen with delicious aromas but also strengthened the connections that make our school community so special.
October 2025: Matcha Tiramisu Workshop
In October, parents gathered for a delightful morning of hands-on cooking at the PTA’s Matcha Tiramisu Workshop. Held in the Primary Kitchen, the session welcomed 18 parents who each prepared their own light and luscious Matcha Tiramisu to take home and enjoy.
The workshop was thoughtfully organised down to the smallest detail, creating a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. It was a warm and uplifting morning, filled with conversation, laughter, and a shared sense of purpose. Events like this remind us how valuable it is to come together beyond the school gate, connect with one another, and build lasting friendships within our BISP community.
The enthusiasm and positive spirit in the room reflected the strength of our PTA and the willingness of parents to contribute their time and energy to meaningful shared experiences.
February 2026: Easy, Healthy Breakfast Workshop
Building on that success, the PTA hosted another inspiring session in February 2026 — the Easy, Healthy Breakfast Workshop. Once again held in the Primary Kitchen, the morning focused on practical, nutritious recipes that parents could easily recreate at home.
Participants learned how to prepare Lazy Oats in a Jar, Protein Spinach, Salmon & Cheese Rolls and Protein Cottage Cheese Casserole.
The workshop provided a relaxed and welcoming space for parents to cook, learn, and exchange ideas around healthy family meals. The practical focus of the session, combined with hands-on participation, made it both informative and enjoyable.
As with the October workshop, the atmosphere was one of warmth, collaboration, and shared learning. It was particularly encouraging to see both returning participants and new parents joining the session, further widening the circle of connection.
We are incredibly fortunate to have such an engaged and proactive PTA. Their commitment to creating inclusive, well-organised events continues to enhance the parent experience at BISP and reinforces the sense of belonging within our community.
We would especially like to thank BISP PTA member Kumiko for organising these cooking workshops, and Nati for leading the February session with such enthusiasm and expertise. We look forward to many more mornings of shared recipes, shared laughter, and shared purpose in the future.

The full PTA Events Schedule will be included below this post, outlining the range of upcoming activities planned for the months ahead. We warmly encourage all parents to take a look and consider joining future events. Whether it’s a workshop, social gathering, or community initiative, these moments provide valuable opportunities to connect, contribute, and be part of the vibrant parent network that makes BISP such a special place.
Thank you to everyone who has supported and participated in these events. Your involvement is what makes them such a success.
