Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Throughout the year, science-loving Year 5, 6, 7, and 8 students have been working hard to earn their SuperStar CREST Awards. This is an award from the British Science Association that rewards scientific investigative skills.

As part of the after-school activity, which is led by BISP Head of Science Mr. Terry, students complete 8 different practical inquiries to identify variables, collect data and make conclusions. By opening this club up to students in the Primary school, BISP is hoping to develop some important scientific skills that will help in the Secondary Science classroom.

Some examples of investigations students have completed to earn their SuperStar CREST Awards include testing the volume of water used in a water rocket, testing the vitamin C content of different fruits, and investigating the effect of caffeine on reaction time.
