In this interview, Miyuka, a Year 13 student at BISP, shares how her passion for helping others has shaped her journey through school and beyond.
Since joining BISP in Year 3, Miyuka has led with purpose, launching Phuket Mangrove Teens to support sustainability, interning at Mahidol University in neuroscience, and serving as Head of Events and Head of Service, where she helped organise the school’s first prom and Charity Ball. A long-time member of the Aerial Arts Academy, she also reflects on overcoming fears, building friendships and developing leadership through performance.
Miyuka will soon begin her next chapter at Wesleyan University in the United States, where she plans to study neuroscience and economics, with a long-term goal of starting a business focused on women’s mental health and educational equity.
