In this video, we hear from Valeriia, a dedicated BISP swimmer and IB student who has grown through every stage of our swim pathway. From her early days in Learn to Swim to competing in the High Performance squad, her journey reflects resilience, passion and the strength of community.

Valeriia shares what it has meant to balance sport and academics, the challenges of early-morning training, and the support she has found in her squad, teachers and coaches. She also talks about her musical passions in piano and drums, which enrich her life beyond the pool.

One of her proudest moments has been reaching the finals at the Thai National Age Group Championships, a milestone that pushed her outside her comfort zone and strengthened her bond with her teammates.

With plans to continue swimming and pursue university studies in the United States, Valeriia reflects on her twelve years in Phuket, the joy of island life, and the moments at BISP that have shaped her into who she is today.
