On Wednesday, 2 September, the BISP community came together to support a Blood Donation Event held on campus in collaboration with the Phuket Regional Blood Centre, Thai Red Cross Society.
Students, parents, teachers and staff took part throughout the day, with many stepping forward to donate blood and others supporting the event through volunteering, organisation and encouragement.
Give blood, give hope: together we save lives.
Before donating, participants underwent the necessary health screening. While some were unable to donate on the day due to medical criteria such as blood pressure or haemoglobin levels, their willingness to participate and support the initiative was equally appreciated.
The event was organised with the support of the BISP Nursing Team, working alongside the Phuket Regional Blood Centre. Both teams were delighted with the response from across the school community and the number of people who came forward to take part.
Blood donation is a simple act that can have a significant impact, and the event provided an opportunity for the BISP community to contribute directly to an important local need.
A sincere thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, helped organise the event or encouraged others to participate. The generosity shown throughout the day was another example of what can be achieved when our community comes together to support others.
