The 2026 Mid-Air Circus Arts Junior Aerial Championships returned to British International School, Phuket for their seventh edition, bringing together 83 young performers for a celebration of skill, creativity and dedication.
Hosted by Mid-Air Circus Arts Aerial Academy, the event is the only aerial arts competition in the world dedicated exclusively to junior performers. Students showcased their talents across a range of categories, including silks and hammock, demonstrating impressive strength, flexibility and artistry through routines developed over months of training.
A special mention goes to Reception student Eseniia Maksimova, the youngest participant in this year’s championships, whose confidence and enthusiasm embodied the spirit of the event.
Beyond the competition, the championships provided valuable opportunities for students to build confidence, gain performance experience and connect with fellow aerialists in a supportive environment. The event concluded with strong results for MACA Aerial Academy and BISP students, reflecting the continued growth and success of the programme.

Looking Ahead: Circus Summer Camp 2026
Mid Air Circus Arts is launching our BIGGEST EVER Circus Summer Camp in Phuket!
This exciting summer program brings together flying trapeze, aerial arts, acrobatics, floorwork and circus skills into one unforgettable camp for children who love movement, creativity and adventure.
Running across six summer weeks — 22 June –24 July and 17–21 August — our camp is perfect for beginners, returning students and young performers looking to build confidence, strength, flexibility and coordination.
Children can join our Flying Trapeze & Circus Arts block from 9:00–10:00 AM, featuring flying trapeze, juggling, swinging trapeze and bungy bounce. From 10:15 AM–12:00 PM, our Aerial Arts Camp includes stretching, conditioning, aerial hammock, silks, hoop and trapeze, with solo and doubles skills. Students can also add Acrobatics for Aerialists & Floorwork from 12:00–1:00 PM to develop stronger transitions, stage presence and performance movement.
For the full experience, book the Full Morning Camp from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM, covering every activity at one great-value price. Families can also add the acrobatics block for the ultimate circus training day.
