On 10 September, BISP marked R U OK? Day with a student-led activity encouraging our community to think about the simple ways we can look out for and support one another.
Throughout break and lunchtime, our Peer Support Group and Wellbeing Leaders led a Kindness in Action activity, inviting students to share messages of kindness, encouragement and ideas for small acts of care.
Students added their contributions to a kindness board, creating a collection of thoughtful reminders of how simple actions can help others feel seen, included and supported. Students could also give their message directly to someone or leave it for another member of the community to discover.
Under the theme “Give One, Take One. Spreading Kindness All Around,” the activity provided a simple but meaningful way to strengthen connections across the school and reinforce the importance of looking out for those around us.
R U OK? Day reminds us that checking in with someone can make a real difference: ask the question, start the conversation and show you care.
