Learning about religion and culture first-hand provides valuable context that cannot always be gained in the classroom alone. On 5 February 2026, our Year 4 students visited Chalong Temple to deepen their understanding of Buddhism and its importance within Thai society.

During their visit, they explored the temple grounds, including the wax museum and the Phra Prang, where a relic of the Buddha is kept.

Students also observed the detailed mural paintings that depict important Buddhist stories and teachings. These visual narratives provided insight into religious traditions and values that continue to influence Thai society.

Beyond historical and religious learning, the excursion encouraged students to develop respect for their surroundings and to take pride in their local community. The visit supported their understanding of cultural responsibility and community awareness.

Through this experience, students gained a clearer understanding of faith, tradition, and the role of temples within the community. Educational visits such as this help nurture respect, curiosity, and a stronger sense of belonging.
