On Monday, November 20th at 4 PM BISP will officially open its newly developed covered pitch. This state-of-the-art facility, dedicated to sports and physical education, represents a significant addition to our campus. 

The pitch will be named the ‘Jeff LaMantia Pitch’ in memory of our former Athletics Director, Jeff LaMantia, who served the school until his passing in 2022. Jeff was not only a dedicated and passionate member of the BISP staff but also a beloved figure among colleagues, students and parents. His warmth, energy and unwavering commitment to sports at BISP and in Asia left an indelible mark on our community. 

Jeff LaMantia’s legacy at BISP is profound. His transformative impact on sports, particularly through the establishment of the BISP Soccer 7s and the Academy structure, has positioned our school as a leader in high-performance sports and opportunities for students at all levels. Despite his battle with cancer, Jeff continued to offer guidance and support for sports at BISP, ensuring that his legacy will endure. 

The opening ceremony on 20th November will be a standing event that will include short speeches by BISP Headmaster Simon Meredith and Director of Football, Jonathias Candido, followed by the unveiling of the plaque by the LaMantia family.
